For 2022, the Honda Accord has been voted as the best in its segment, winning the AutoTrader Award for Best Family Sedan. The Honda Accord got a refresh for 2021 that carries it through into 2022. That included a new, wider grille, new LED headlamps, and new wheel designs. Feature availability was tweaked, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on all trims, USB port positions, and a rear-seat and rear seatbelt reminder.

2021 AJAC Innovation Award for Best Safety Innovation: New Front Passenger Air Bag
The new airbag is designed to “catch” the front passenger’s head and avoid the head from rolling off the cushion, in the process enhancing safety and preventing serious injuries. The innovative airbag uses four compartments as opposed to just one cushion like in a traditional airbag. This prevents the head from partially avoiding the airbag or rotating severely.
